PROFESSOR "LOUIE" WOODSTOCK-SIBERIA BLUES EXPRESS

This documentary was filmed by the company LBL from Novosibirsk, Siberia, Russia documenting Professor "Louie" a/k/a Aaron Louis Hurwitz and his spring and winter experiences in Siberia. - teaching children English through singing - performing and teaching Blues to local musicians there - private concerts at the Conservatory and much more!

"Louie" was working in conjunction with Edward Shornik of the YMCA Smile program in Novosibirsk and Eric Shogren an American businessman living in Siberia who sponsored his trip and hired him to perform in his club New York Times.

The musicians and children learned blues, select Americana tunes and also original songs by Professor "Louie" and the original instrumental "Melting" was performed in concert with master musicians duo "Siberian Virtuosi" culminating this interesting experience.

"Louie does not speak Russian and the musicians and children knew very little English the music brought their worlds together and transcended all obstacles - melting east & west.

As the film "Woodstock-Siberia Blues Express" was being shown at The Woodstock Film Festival, Louie was again in Siberia teaching & performing at their first Blues Festival. And the great ride on the Blues Express continues!
